Golf will soon return to the UK

At the moment, the UK government is considering the possibility of easing the quarantine measures caused by the Covid-19 epidemic, and Golf fans can be among the first to feel this. Representatives of the Parliament have set up a special group that works with all interested organizations to ensure that British Golf clubs can be safely reopened as soon as possible.

“Members of Parliament are aware of how important Golf is to the UK and how much economic value it has, providing jobs for a significant number of people across the country and having a significant positive impact on people’s health,” the Chairman of the group said in a statement. “Golf was banned in Britain when lockdown was organized, but the very essence of the game implies that it can and should return immediately, provided that a number of measures are implemented to ensure social distance and other requirements of the authorities are met.”

Naturally, there is no discussion about the resumption of any level of competition, but representatives of the Old and Royal (The R&A) and the UK Golf Federation (UK Golf Federation) have agreed on a number of rules and instructions that should ensure safe access to Golf clubs when it is allowed.

Even for masters it is not easy without practice

Many bored Golf stars have recently posted educational videos on social networks for fans who want to maintain their playing form in the current conditions. The experienced Thomas Bjorn, who recorded a video for Callaway Golf Tour Tips, also joined this important case. The Dane, who led the European team at the last Ryder Cup, decided to hold a video lesson at his home in London, but something went wrong…

Thomas treated the incident with humor and added that this is exactly what happens when “you haven’t picked up a putter since February.” The representatives of the Callaway company did not stay away either, they reported on sending a set of their training balls (which are much softer than usual) to the golfer.
